Dragon Well raises the bar for neighborhood
Chinese restaurants
San Francisco Examiner

Ever feel vaguely dissatisfied with your neighborhood Chinese restaurants? Wish their food was as carefully prepared from ingredients of as high a quality as at your favorite chef-owned cafe? That their decor and ambience matched that of the local California cuisine eatery, that the service was as personable and professional as at the little Italian place down the block, that their presentation and accouterments matched those at the cute French bistro around the corner?
Well, Gary and Christina Tan have wished all that, too. More important, they've done something about it, and what they've done is Dragon Well, a small, pretty Chinese restaurant on Chestnut Street that opened in June in the former home of Bepples Pies.

Hours
11:30am - 10:00pm
Tuesday - Sunday
In putting together our menu, we wanted to include traditional favorites like Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Chicken, as well as introduce such authentic, delicious dishes as Steamed Fish and Hong Kong Noodles. We hope to show you that classically prepared, Chinese food is at once tasty, fresh and healthy.
