Upon forfeiting her first career choice as a treasure hunter, Sofia Kaman began a life-long passion for ancient objects. Studying the architectural motifs of gothic churches to the amazing details and jeweled colors of Indian miniature paintings, she was ensnared by the mystery and beauty of these antique masterpieces.

When discovering the art of was-carving ten years ago, Sofia knew it was the perfect medium for combining her love for art, nature and history in the creation of timeless jewelry pieces. It was then that she began a path that led her to form Kamofie Designs, in December of 2000.

The fusion of antique references, classic sensibility and contemporary wear ability has long provided the inspiration for Sofia's work and the vision behind Kamofie Designs.
