“I have been designing hand crafted jewelry in my studio in Carmel, California since 1977. These new pieces are individually hand fabricated in (.999) fine silver, 22K and 24K gold. They have been roller printed to create a pearl scent matte finish. Those with stones are custom back set with semi-precious stones such as amethyst, Madeira citrine, peridot, rhodolite, tourmaline, topaz, natural and cubic zircon. Pendants incorporate the use of fresh water pearls and faceted semi-precious stone beads. Each piece is one of a kind and signed by me.
The inspiration for the work over the years is derived from a lifelong love of sculpture and design. After studying at Parsons School of Design, Richmond Art Center and Revere Academy, I taught Jewelry design in Carmel for several years. Other influences include the culture, arts, and crafts I experienced while living in Mexico, Spain and Italy in the late 60’s and early 70’s. An Artist’s study tour of Japan helped me appreciate the spare aesthetic which I employ in my own work.
