Rebecca spent her early childhood in Berkeley, California. She moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts, when she was 8 and spent the rest of her teenage years there. She always had a love for design, and this love only grew stronger with age.
After high school, Rebecca was accepted to Skidmore College, but she chose to postpone her formal education to embark on cultural explorations in both Mexico and the Caribbean. In the Caribbean, she worked as a deck hand on a schooner spending her spare time in different ports exploring native traditions. In Mexico, she traveled to a small hill town called San Miguel de Allende, where she studied with an old Aztec Indian man, who taught her traditional methods of making jewelry. She became fascinated by the indigenous materials used by the local people. It was at this time that she designed her first pieces of jewelry.
When she entered college, Rebecca continued to pursue jewelry design. She took courses that strengthened and expanded her creative and technical abilities. Today, she absorbs the external influences around her to come up with new, inventive combinations of materials, colors, and techniques.
All of Rebecca’s jewelry is hand crafted in precious metals. Each piece is one-of-a-kind possessing its own unique elegance.
