Johanna Becker-Black
Inspired by nature's flawless sense of design, this unique jewelry blends the timelessness of pearls with an organic twist.

The peapod is a symbol of togetherness, as we know from the phrase "like two peas in a pod". It is a metaphor suggesting unbreakable bonds, making it a distinct embodiment of sentimental elegance.
Like many natural forms, there is a relationship shared between the peapod's internal and external body. Freshwater pearls represent the soft tenderness of the peas, while oxidized sterling silver acts as the protective casing of the pod. Through this combination of oposing characteristics, there grows a balance allowing vulnerability and strength to merge.

Created by jewelry designer Johanna Becker-Black, all pieces are handmade in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The artist, a graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design, is a Santa Fe native, a world traveler, and an admirer of nature's brilliance.
