Annie Decamp began Decamp in 2001. Her organic and sculptural aesthetic is born out of her interest in Japanese, Chinese and Russian Art history, modern architecture and design, her personal history and motherhood.
With Annie Decamp's 2003 Decamp design collection, Annie evokes her memories of canoeing with her grandfather and siblings on the river around Newton, Iowa, recent travels on Chin's Yangtze River, life on the Northern California coast, and her experiences with her young children and their art.
Annie's designs are frequently describes as strong in size, minimalism of design, and subject mater. The Decamp collection incorporates smooth organic form with icons of historic, modern, and nostalgic influences.
